Computer History Museum
When visiting the Computer History Museum, I was quite surprised with the amount of items relating to computing and how they have changed over the course of history. I learned how the process of computing evolved over the course of our lifetime and the dramatic achievements people have made with this technology. One particular item that caught my eye were theses shiny disks that were DRAM. They were used to stores each bit of data in a memory cell. It was quite interesting to see the drastic leap in engineering for make these disks small while holding more memory to for people to manage all of their information their received for their corporations. Within my MIS major, we need to manage a lot of data for our company. In order to do this, we need to prioritize which kind of information we provide to them within their decision making. Being able to compile all of this data within a readable manner will ultimately effect the overall business decision within our projects.
