After watching the effective listening module I gained a way better idea of what makes listening actually effective instead of just hearing. According to Kolovou and Bailey-Hughes, it\u2019s built on five key skills: recalling details, getting the big picture, evaluating what\u2019s being said, picking up on subtle cues, and listening with empathy.
