Effective Listening
In Fall of 2024 I successfully completed the LinkedIn Learning module titled “Effective Listening.” In this module, watchers are introduced to the concept of how listening is critical competency. The speaker defines what attentive listening is, then shows us what happens when a speaker is distracted by the delivery of their own words. We also learn about mental filters, which stuck out to me the most. Overall, as the speaker explains, this module is very valuable because most professionals have never had any formal training on the art of listening.
