During class today you will get into your Final Project Groups and collectively create a “Group Contract” that details the important rules and expectations that will guide your group conduct and interactions for the duration of this project.
After meeting with your group, please answer the following prompts. You should aim to write a short paragraph for each of the following bullet points.
- Tentative Schedule for Group Meeting: when is a good day/time for your group to meet? How often? where? …etc.
- Tuesday 2-3pm ( in campus) MLK or student union
- Thursday online 2-3pm (zoom)
- Preferred Communication Modes: what are the best ways for your group to communicate? think about creating those platforms as needed (e.g. discord, WhatsApp group, shared google folder, etc.)
- Imessage group
- Group Member Roles: what roles will you need to have an organized and responsive/accountable group? For example, who will set meeting agendas and facilitate meetings? Who will be in charge of submitting group assignments to canvas on time? (Will these roles rotate or be distributed evenly to assure equitable workload among group members?). How will you decide on future group roles as new activities (e.g., research, interviews, assignments) come due?
- Zoom Meeting – Piero
- Everything else rotating
- At least 3 other group norms that you deem important: What are some rules and values that your group shares and will be incorporating in your group dynamics?
- Respect (Listen to one another’s ideas fully)
- Communication
- Accountability
- Tentative Project Idea(s): What is one (or three) project idea that your group might pursue? (Your answer to this prompt is not binding, it is just to give us a sense of where you stand).
- Website/app that shows the resources that you are related to or qualified for according to your interest and major for SJSU students.
- Equal and fair access to education. Education laws govern how schools operate and ensure that students receive fair and equitable education.
