International Business Association Fundraising Coordinator
As the fundraising coordinator for the International Business Association (IBA) at SJSU, my primary role is to develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the association’s events and initiatives. I will be collaborating with the IBA team to identify potential donors, organize fundraising events, and manage the budget and financial reporting for our activities.
Since I have just started in this position, I haven’t had the opportunity to work on specific projects yet. However, I am excited to dive into our first meeting tomorrow 8/27, where we’ll discuss upcoming fundraising initiatives. I plan to bring creative ideas to the table and am eager to contribute to successful projects that will support the goals of IBA.
Although I am just beginning my journey in this role, I anticipate that I will learn valuable skills in financial management, strategic planning, and team collaboration. These experiences will directly relate to my major in Management Information Systems (MIS) by enhancing my understanding of how to align business objectives with effective resource management. This position will also help me develop my leadership and communication skills, which are essential in both business and technology fields.
