Within the program, I collaborated with a cross-functional team to develop data-driven business strategies for program managers. Creating the project required conducting market research, SWOT analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities. With my team, we delivered presentations and reports with actionable recommendations to industry mentors and company executives. Overall, I was able to strengthen skills in consulting, project management, and client communication through weekly deliverables and presentations.
Our team’s project was a pitch for Cognivize AI, a mock AI company from San Jose with a history of working with small to medium-sized businesses in the area. After 10 weeks of research and creating our pitch, our team presented our plans to the company to industry professionals. I personally worked directly on the data analysis portion of the research, while also contributing to the development of the SWOT analysis, competitor analysis, GTM strategy, and other aspects.
Throughout this process, I was able to understand to a greater degree how real-world projects function and what I can expect in my future positions. Working on deadlines, presenting deliverables that are not only informational but also aim to innovate a company to meet industry standards and flourish in their market. While working on the project, I have also sharpened my teamwork skills, ensuring that I am able to adapt and lead in a variety of scenarios and team demographics.
