Forecasting Project – McDonalds
- The project’s goals were to forecast the sales for Mcdonald’s based on the data from previous years and recommend the best method for forecasting. We used different ways to calculate the sales for the next year, and the best method recommended was the least squares forecast, as it followed the trend from previous sales more closely.
- I learned the different methods to forecast the sales for the organizations. I also learned how to analyze the method used for forecasting to get more accurate results. This project helped me know the other factors impacting current and future sales. It also helped determine the seasonality in the sales and what factors cause it.
