Bio

I am Kristian Marcus Caraos. I was born and raised in Union City, California, a somewhat small but growing town in the East Bay Area, being just minutes away from San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

I attended James Logan High School in which I took part in my school’s Marketing and Management program, being put through a business simulation and collaborating with my classmates by creating a business and continuing to run it through daily operations and trade shows both in person and virtually as we shifted to hybrid learning. I held the position as our class’s COO my junior year and the class’s CEO my senior year. I also was a part of my school’s Advanced Choir and Chamber Choir where we had competed in state and regional competitions. I had graduated in the class of 2021.

I came into San Jose State in the fall of 2021, studying as a Business Management Information Systems major. I joined the Filipino organization at SJSU, Akbayan, and am still serving as a member.

I had worked a part-time job at Jamba as a Team Member from 2019-2022, and was promoted to Shift Lead from 2022-2023. In the summer of 2022 and 2023, I took part in GILLIG’s Summer Hire program, in which I worked full-time on a bus assembly line. I was specifically responsible for the installation of the wheelchair ramp on the bus, and sealing any bolts under the bus.

Aside from my professional life, I surround a lot of my personal life around music. I play many instruments such as the guitar, ukulele, and piano. I also produce music, and write music. I regularly attend concerts, but also just spend a lot of time listening to music anywhere I go. Other hobbies that peak my interest is thrifting clothes, vinyl record collecting, exploring cities, trying new foods, and finding the best cafes for the best coffee or matcha a place has to offer. I continuously look forward to going about what everything life has to offer, from aspects of my professional life and down to the little personal moments that we experience getting to our destination.
