AMD International Expansion Plan
In this project, we suggested the idea of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) and how they could expand into India, Ireland, and Switzerland to mitigate reliance on Taiwan and China and tap into growing markets. India offers a skilled, low-cost workforce and a booming tech sector, making it a prime candidate for growth, while Ireland presents an educated workforce, strong tech sector, and favorable EU access. Switzerland offers economic stability and a high demand for quality tech. AMD aims to address competition from Nvidia by establishing local manufacturing and leveraging geopolitical shifts. The expansion is expected to generate $4.25–5.5 billion in revenue annually within five years, creating jobs and supporting tech development in these regions. In this paper, I learned about the importance of globalization and how we need to think bigger than just our country alone and need to include other countries to advance society.
