Costco Wholesale Corporation
In this research project, we uncovered how the entry-level labor at Costco Wholesale Corporation, which is well-known for providing a large selection of goods at affordable rates, suffers difficulties due to the company’s stringent management’s emphasis on efficiency, low employee motivation, and unhygienic practices. Poor cleanliness, low task relevance, and insufficient training were among the problems brought to light during an employee interview. Giving workers greater freedom, establishing specific objectives, enhancing task involvement, and imposing more stringent hygiene regulations are some solutions. These adjustments could preserve Costco’s standing as a high-quality service provider while enhancing worker happiness, output, and the working environment as a whole.
