Getting Things Done
From this module, I learned about the 5 different steps in getting things done. The first step is capturing things, which is collecting things that get your attention. The second step is clarifying the meaning. After capturing your attention, there is still decisions that have to be made. It is important that we ask ourselves what these actually mean and what specifically are we going to do about them. The third step is organizing where things belong. This means identifying where things go and organizing by context can be useful. The fourth step reflecting and reviewing tasks. This means step back and take a look, which keep people oriented on a long horizon. The last step is engaging the tasks. Trust your own judgment about what you do and what you don’t. Overall, this can be related to my major, since as a college student in business, I will be working on a lot of team projects, which require getting things done. If I follow these steps, it can help me create a successful and satisfactory project for not only my grade, but for teachers, students, and my classmates.
