Volunteer at Astoria Gardens
The goal was to assist the workers at Astoria Garden Senior Living in Tracy. I helped the workers take care of the senior citizens. The workers and seniors were both helped. I learned that serving senior citizens is a whole different way of relaxing your mind. It makes you feel like you are doing something good for the community. While talking with the seniors, I got to learn so much about their history. They told me things like what their occupations were and what they did for fun when they were younger. Some of them were veterans!
