My responsibilities included finding suitable venues, negotiating with vendors, arranging transportation, designing and managing event budgets, and coordinating logistics for 150+ attendees. I also presented event proposals to chapter leadership, maintained transparency in spending, and ensured each event aligned with the fraternity\u2019s values and goals.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"1540\">\n<li data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"1163\">\n<p data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"1163\"><strong data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"892\">Spring and Fall Formals:<\/strong> Successfully coordinated two major formals, securing the perfect locations not too far from campus and arranging reliable transportation. Developed a structured budget system to track and allocate funds across venues, food, and transportation for more than 150 guests.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1326\">\n<p data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1326\"><strong data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1195\">Budget &amp; Tracking System:<\/strong> Built a system to monitor expenses in real time, ensuring money was well spent and remained within chapter financial guidelines.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1540\">\n<p data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1540\"><strong data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1362\">Event Planning Presentations:<\/strong> Regularly presented new ideas and event proposals over several weeks, giving members a clear picture of upcoming opportunities and securing their approval for future projects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"2149\"><strong data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1584\">What I Learned &amp; Relevance to My Major<\/strong><br data-start=\"1584\" data-end=\"1587\" \/>This role sharpened my leadership, financial planning, and project management skills. From an MIS perspective, I applied systems thinking and tracking tools to monitor budgets and logistics. From a Business\/Economics perspective, I used principles of cost analysis, resource allocation, and contract negotiation to manage vendors and event expenses effectively.
