From this book, I learned about the importance of kindness, courage, and understanding others instead of judging them too quickly.\u00a0In the story, the people of the Protectorate believe a dangerous witch takes a baby every year, but in reality, Xan the witch is kind and actually rescues the babies and gives them a better life. For example, Luna is accidentally given magic from moonlight, and as she grows up, she learns to control her powers with the help of Xan and her friends, showing the importance of guidance and support. Another example is how the town continues to believe false stories because of fear, which causes unnecessary suffering. From this book, I learned that people should not blindly believe everything they hear and should try to understand the truth.
