With the price of raw ingredients going up and based on several 1-star reviews submitted to Campus Burgers on Yelp. We have devised a detailed list of problems with food quality and customization, service speed and availability, payment options and order accuracy. Some of the issues highlighted by customers include; soggy buns, tasteless patties, limited or no options for modifications, slow service, cashless payment system, and\u00a0 missing items in the order. Also, customers have reported to be unhappy with the staff\u2019s inability to convey information effectively, insufficient seating for customers and lack of special dietary options.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Our proposed solution was <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">creating systems with the following elements: electronic feedback management, customer options for order modifications and an instant verification of order accuracy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The system will include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Digital Feedback<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u2013 We are going to implement a tool\u00a0 that will enable us to sort and analyze the customers\u2019 feedback and thus improve where it is necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Order Customization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 Offering few but easily understandable choices like \u201cno sauce\u201d without\u00a0 overcomplicating the process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Order Accuracy Monitoring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 Increasing the interaction between the kitchen and front-end staff\u00a0 to help avoid errors and delays.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Cash Payment Options<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 To bring back cash payments and still ensure that the transactions are fast and efficient.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Allergy &amp; Dietary Accommodation Features<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 Educating\u00a0 customers on the presence of allergens and providing instructions on how to prepare the meals differently.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our maintenance steps would be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collect more <\/span><b>detailed feedback<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from the customers through a survey.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Assess feasibility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of aforementioned changes in the system above and hone in on the most realistic and applicable one(s).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Move forward with a basic plan after having assessed a cost centric solution.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What I learned over the course of this project was to carefully implement necessary technologies to maximize ROI above all else. In this specific scenario, our goal was to improve profit margins for this business while retaining their high customer volume.
