On April 6, 2023, I went to San Jose City Hall and met all the departments of the San Jose government.
What you learned
I learned about all the career possibilities available for my major. I got to talk to people from finance, IT, human resources, and the library. They each taught me about their working environment and the type of people that they are looking for. This was very helpful because they were also able to answer various questions that I had about their job positions. It has inspired me to apply to multiple roles to find the job that is right for me!
How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals
They had many job opportunities for my major International Business and MIS. Working for the city would be a great opportunity to find my dream job and be able to give back to the city. They also offer many part-time jobs where I would be able to work and continue to be in school.
