SmartServe Proposal – Cali Spartan Mexican Kitchen
For my Systems Analysis and Design course (BUS4 110B), my team developed SmartServe, a digital ordering and payment solution for Cali Spartan Mexican Kitchen. As the Project Manager, I was responsible for guiding the team through each phase of the development process. I organized the tasks, communicated with the group, and made sure our deliverables were aligned with the project goals and were submitted on time. Our goal was to implement a better system for the restaurant to reduce inefficiencies and improve overall work flow. We analyzed their current processes and believed a self-checkout kiosk, a SMS order system, and an online ordering platform will increase productivity and reduce wait times. We created a full project plan, a project scheduling report, a cost-benefit analysis report, and a mobile application prototype design. The project showed improvements in service and long-term value, with the financials resulting in a positive NPV and a fast break-even point. Through this project, I learned how to analyze real business problems, develop system requirements, plan out project timelines, compare solutions using scoring models, and designing tech solutions to make things easier for both the customers and the employees.
