Hiking up Twin Peaks

Last Friday (March 15), after the company tour I attended, I took a train up to San Francisco to join a friend in hiking up Twin Peaks. We got off at the Forest Hill station and made our way up from there on foot. It was a bit tiring, albeit not overwhelming, and I was sore the next day. It was a fulfilling activity with beautiful views, and it gave an opportunity to also connect more with my friend. In my organizational behavior class, we learned of the concept of being “fit to lead”, referring to how leadership is more physically demanding than people expect and there is a correlation between physical fitness and leadership skills. Hiking is one way to stay fit, and it has other mental health benefits that are important for leadership.
