National Night Out – Hercules Police Department Volunteer
In August of 2024, I volunteered at Refugio Valley Park in Hercules, CA, for the Hercules Police Department during National Night Out. My father is the police chief, and allowed me to help out for the event. My boss, who I am having a text message conversation with in the attached screenshot, is the one who brought up the volunteer event. I currently work for Target, and Target gives volunteer hours for its employees to help out in community service events. My boss, Jorge Mora, asked if I’d be able to help out with my dad’s department, and I agreed. At this event, I gave out snacks, water bottles, stickers, and flyers to people who came up to our area. I also took pictures for people who wanted to be photographed with officers and squad cars.
