LinkedIn Profile for Changemakers
In the LinkedIn Profile for Changemakers workshop, I learned how to create a strong LinkedIn profile that highlights my skills, experiences, and career goals. The session covered important profile sections like the profile photo, headline, summary, experience, education, and skills. I learned how to write a headline and summary that show my interests and future goals. The workshop also explained the importance of networking on LinkedIn, including connecting with classmates, professors, and professionals. I also learned how to use keywords to make my profile more visible to recruiters.
This workshop is especially helpful for my MIS major because LinkedIn is a great tool for finding jobs, making connections, and building a professional image. Many companies look for candidates on LinkedIn, so having a good profile can help with job opportunities. As an MIS student, it’s important to highlight technical skills, projects, and certifications to attract employers. Learning how to connect with professionals and keep up with industry trends will also help me stay informed about new opportunities in business and technology. Overall, this workshop taught me how to create a strong online presence which will help me in my future career.
