- On 2/6/24 I decided to go do some community service for the San Jose Sikh Temple. I am Punjabi and have done volunteer work for Sikh temples in other cities many times before. The Sikh temple has a food area called the “Langar Hall” and I stood behind the buffets and scooped the food into peoples plates when they asked. There were about 10 volunteers at the time we went. We helped the elders get food and enjoy their time at the Sikh Temple. I learned that when I am helping others, it not only helps them but it also helps me grow as a person.
