Tesla Career Fair
The Career Fair was organized by the SJSU Career Center on February 6 for 2 departments – Supply Chain and Engineering, at Clark Hall. I went for the Supply Chain department where they had 2 recruiters. It was a helpful session as the recruiters reviewed resumes and shared their advice. It was new to learn that Tesla does not use AI to review resumes. Post the event they sent us a link to apply for the internship positions. My takeaway from this session was specifically the resume advice, and that even if you apply for the same position twice it does not affect your standing. They simply ignore the old submission, and consider you equally from the new application. This was the first career fair I went to so it was overwhelming at first, but realised everyone is there to help each other! Recruiters want to recruit so you have to tailor yourself to fit their demands.
