I have joined the MISA Club in which we attend workshops that prepare us for our professional careers. Guest speakers come in from time to time which allows us to pick their brain in order to advance our career knowledge and expand our network.
I have learned that it is important to separate ourselves from others and that showing our personality is very important. We don’t want recruiters to think of us as some Silicon Valley robots that all have the same resume. One guest speaker taught us that it is very important to include some personality in our Linked In profile and our resume.= in order to stand out from one another.
