PwC Information Session

On September 13, 2023, I was invited to a PwC Info night by the main SJSU recruiter Julissa Quezada and it took place in room 4a of the student union. The point of the meeting was to better understand what jobs and roles PwC offers so workers from their San Jose office came to speak on what they do on a day-to-day basis and go in depth about their experience working there so far. PwC is one of my target companies I’d like to work for out of college so this info session was important to me. I learned about how competitive it is to get an interning position at PwC. For most roles, you need to have experience with Excel and ERP systems. I talked to one of the professionals and they told me that the most suitable role for MIS majors is their Digital assurance and transparency role. I got a whole rundown of what I’d be doing as an intern if I was selected and that I’d be working with document memos and pivot tables. The coursework we’re doing in BUS4-110A having to do with programming is something I could use to excel in this job role.
