Walk and Ferry Rides in San Francisco

I drove up to Treasure Island in San Francisco and took a ferry across to the Ferry Building. From there, I walked through the financial district over to the former San Francisco Mint, which now houses a great local history museum. On the way back, I stopped at the famous Transamerica Pyramid and saw their beautiful redwood garden, then walked along a beautiful stretch of elevated pathways that led to the San Francisco Embarcadero. From there, I took a ferry to Richmond, CA, to visit the former Ford assembly plant and Rosie the Riveter Museum, which featured two 99-year-old Rosies who worked in the Richmond shipbuilding factories. After this adventure, I ferried back to San Francisco’s Ferry Building and walked along the Embarcadero to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf, where I explored Pier 39 before taking a streetcar back to the Ferry Building and ferrying back to the car.

Quite the fun but exhausting day! Left at 8:15 AM and didn’t get back home until 8:30 PM!
