7 Interesting Things About Me

  • Movie(s) I have watched repeatedly include Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Office Space, Airplane!, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and La La Land. I could go on and on about my love for films. I have watched over 1,300 films in my life and find film to be one of the most captivating art forms out there.
  • Favorite sports teams include the San Jose Sharks and the San Francisco Giants. I love watching hockey, including the fights on the ice and the fast-paced action of the sport. I love watching baseball because it’s more laid back and chill, but has extremely exhilarating peaks!
  • I have two pets: one male orange tabby cat and one female orange tabby cat. They are siblings, rescue cats, and have opposite personalities. In the past, I have owned fish, starfish, and a stick bug.
  • Apps I visit daily include LinkedIn, where I make connections with people on campus, and Google Maps, which I use to track places I love to go to and to explore the amazing world around me.
  • Favorite things to do outside of school & work include producing and performing music on my piano, ukulele, clarinet, saxophone, and vocals. I love producing songs and hold a degree in Music Technology. I also perform in a college rock, blues, and jazz band with a variety of ages, from freshmen in college to very talented retired musicians.
  • The coolest thing I’ve ever done was visit Japan when I was in 7th grade. Japan was a life-changing trip for someone at 12 years old and without family for the first time. I learned a lot about independence and respecting others through my journey in Japan, and I look forward to going back someday.
  • My proudest atypical accomplishment was learning the lyrics to “In Search of Diamonds” by Eric Fullerton and practicing singing it in quicker increments over time until I could speed through it in less than 45 seconds in my local talent show. This is likely a very unusual moment, but I continue to be very proud of this moment, even though it is silly.
