MISA Intern Roundtable Event
This activity took place in the SU 002 building, and was focused on speaking with and asking questions to interns about their work experiences and how they got into their current positions. Each attendee was assigned a group to sit in and ask questions to their assigned intern about the question that was posed on the board. After 5 minutes the intern would rotate groups and attendees would get to speak to a new face. A question panel for the interns was also set up in order to ask broad questions for the entire attendance to hear and learn from. In addition to attending this event was planned and set up by the Corporate Relations committee that I am a member of, I played a part in running and setting up this event. I learned a lot from this event, getting to speak with people who are in the intern positions that I am attempting to get currently, learning their application tactics as well as gaining insight on certain position specific tasks that I can expect to see. This gave me a lot more confidence in my professional abilites and gave me skills that I can carry into my future applications.
