Communication Foundations
This LinkedIn learning module was a course that focused on developing professional skills. This module taught me about the importance of effective communication and the steps to do so. It went over the four building blocks of communication which were people, message, context, and learning. The module also went over ways to communicate in common situations such as meetings, social settings, and emails. In addition, the module gave insight into effective communication during challenging situations such as when pitching new ideas to management, dealing with criticism, and presenting. Overall, this was my favorite LinkedIn learning module because I find communication super important and it’s something that I struggle with. I found the example scenarios extremely helpful, and I will be prepared if I am in that situation. This course relates to my major because communication is an important skill to learn. Effective communication is crucial when working in a team environment, and it’s also important for day-to-day activities.
