Getting Things Done

This LinkedIn learning module was a course that focused on developing professional skills. After completing the course, I learned about the benefits and steps to “getting things done.” The five steps to engaging the world in meaningful ways with a clear head and focus was to capture, clarify, organize, reflect, and engage. Essentially, the whole idea behind the module is learning about managing your attention and the steps to properly engage with your life and work without being distracted. This course relates to my major, Management Information Systems, in that it is crucial to be able to maintain focus while working on a project. Whether it’s in a professional environment or at school, it’s easy to get distracted. In order to improve myself, I will attempt to follow the five steps to “getting things done” to increase my focus. With more focus, I will be able to complete tasks faster and increase the quality of my work.
