I worked as the project manager to facilitate tasks to group members and oversee the completion of the project to provide better organization within the team. The goal of the project was to investigate the impacts of social media in enhancing business communications within the quick service restaurant industry by evaluating companies based on their global presence and cultural accommodation; marketing and sales; and community and outreach services. As a team, we discovered that McDonald’s performs the best in terms of its social media presence. This is most likely due to the company’s global popularity and large customer following. Taco Bell is placed second, as it is only lacking in its global presence and cultural accommodations.
