Effective Listening
In this module I learned the power of effective listening. I learned the five skills for improved listening; recall details, understanding the big picture, evaluate content, attune to subtle cues, listen with empathy, and when and how to listen. Challenges to listening are; getting distracted by internal noise, multitasking, paying attention to delivery, overwhelming yourself with information, responding appropriately, and ways to fix it are to clarify your role, use nonverbal cues, allowing silence, paraphrase what was said, and to match emotions.
