Effective Listening
1. What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this learning module).
I learned about active and effective listening and how critical it is to know in order to be a better colleague, mentor, and friend. Different characteristics of the course that I can point out are: delivery, mental filters, paraphrasing content, and attentive listening. This relates to my major because as an MIS major that is thought of to be the bridge between tech and business, you have to be able to effectively communicate between your colleagues and departments. There is a lot of information dealt with in the professional field that can get confusing by telling/listening in a way that is hard to comprehend.
