LCoB C-Suite & Student Networking Mixer
I attended the LCoB C-Suite & Student Networking Mixer on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. The event was sponsored by the LCOB and included alumni and board members. It was held at 6 pm PST at the Student Union Ballroom here at SJSU. It was an incredible opportunity to network and meet other students in similar and different fields. I received tips from board members on how my current professional and student networks can help me in the future. Interview tips were given as well, and at the end of the event, I met and connected with several students on LinkedIn and also exchanged numbers with a few to catch up over coffee and be a support system (we’re older and working – it’s hard meeting and having an external support system as we age so this was one of my highlights!) I ended the night getting matched with a mentorship. This helps my career goals as I practice networking, learn what other students are doing, and find relevant information in their internships. This also helps my coursework as I connect with peers in my grade, making the university a little less lonely. I thoroughly enjoyed this event and feel so honored to have attended!!
