Canva: Designing Engaging, Accessible Presentations

In the “Explore Presentation Design Using Canva” course, I learned how to effectively design presentations by focusing on three core pillars: message, audience, and environment. The course covered visual design principles, including Gestalt theory, branding consistency, and inclusive design practices like using accessible color combinations and writing alt text. I also developed skills in selecting templates, organizing content, and using whitespace strategically to enhance communication.
As a Management Information Systems (MIS) major, strong communication through visual presentations is crucial for sharing insights, project plans, and data. This course helped me strengthen my ability to design professional, accessible, and impactful presentations, which will be essential in future business and tech roles.
