Recommendation Report

I learned about this analysis is that it is important to look deeper into data to understand what’s really driving sales. It’s not just about selling more. It is about understanding why sales are the way they are. Additionally, I learned that the relationship between discounts and sales is more complex than initially perceived. While it might seem intuitive to offer bigger discounts to drive sales, this analysis revealed that higher discount rates don’t always lead to increased sales. The goal was to achieve a 20% increase in sales based on existing performance data. Through analysis of Natasha’s data in the TableauSalesData Excel file, it became evident that despite copiers being the most profitable subcategory, they had relatively lower sales volumes compared to other categories. Consequently, the recommendation was made to reduce discount rates to optimize pricing strategy and foster sustainable sales growth. This analysis underscored the importance of aligning pricing strategies with sales objectives for long-term business success.
