I learned how to focus on the content of a speaker’s presentation rather than the speaker’s delivery issues. How to paraphrase mentally to ensure that I am focused on the content. How to address nonverbal distractions to help both me and the speaker. Ask questions of I have misunderstandings or confusing regarding to their presentation if there are issues like mumbling, soft voices, or an accent.
