Comprehensive Database Management: Optimizing Workforce PTO and Staffing
This project aimed to develop a database system that optimizes workforce paid time off (PTO) management and making staff management more efficient. The main goals were to have an automative system for PTO approvals, ensure adequate department staffing given the information about who is available, and provide managers with real-time insights for decision-making. This project successfully streamlined scheduling by implementing an approval system that minimizes disruptions. In the end, we were successful in making the processing more efficient, reducing of approval times, and enhanced operational flow. I learned a lot from this project, including how to use SQL in order to create your own database and integrating automation systems. Since this project was done in a group setting, I learned how to collaborate with others in order to best deploy all the necessary information to make this project a success.
