Getting Things Done

This course helped me understand how to become better at time management and increasing productivity. He also introduces on the “Getting Things Done” method, which highlights five important steps (capturing, clarifying, organizing, reflecting, and engaging with tasks) in order to become useful in not just in the workplace but also in our daily lives. Each step helps individuals turn their focus onto different things and understanding how to center your attention to key information. In the end, you will be able to stay organized and understand the key objectives that must be solved. I think that MIS students will benefit the most from this because there will be times where you may have to complete multiple tasks and you do not want to waste precious time in the process. Staying organized and being aware of time management will make it exponentially easier for important deadlines to be reached and to be efficient. The GTD method can also be useful in a work setting as it allows everyone to give their all and work efficiently to satisfy all goals.
