Office Solutions
Me and my team created a recommendation report for Office Solutions to identify strategies that could help increase company profits by 10% through more effective marketing and sales targeting. The goal of the project was to analyze profitability across product categories, sub-categories, customer segments, and regions in order to determine which areas generated the highest returns. Through data analysis, we found that the Technology category, particularly the Phones and Copiers sub-categories, produced the strongest and most consistent profits and profit margins across multiple customer segments, especially within the Consumer segment. The results also showed steady year-over-year growth from 2016 to 2019, confirming that these trends were sustainable and not temporary. Based on these findings, we recommended that Office Solutions focus its marketing efforts on high-performing products such as Phones and Copiers and prioritize the Consumer segment to maximize profitability and sales growth. Throughout the project, we learned how to analyze business data, calculate profit margins, identify market trends, interpret customer behavior, and use data-driven insights to develop strategic business recommendations.
