Learning Assistant

  1. Being a Learning Assistant comes with a few job responsibilities on a technical and social side. As a Learning Assistant, I would have to find out ways to enhance the students learning by helping them work in groups and engage in critical discussion. On the technical side, we have to also check that the students are understanding the material correctly and they are able to answer the critical questions on the topic.
  2. Some projects that I worked on as a Learning Assistant was hosting a workshop for students on campus for Time Management. In this workshop, I included activities for students on Time Management and I also gave them tips and tricks on how to manage time in an academic, personal and professional environment.
  3. What I learned from this role is how to communicate with others and how to maintain professional boundaries. This relates to my major because in the business aspect, I learned how while working in a company, I would have to know how to communicate with others on a professional level.
