LL Course 1: Getting Things Done
1. What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this learning module).
In this module, I learned a approach on how to engage my work and life more meaningful and less distracted by David Allen. I’ve always thought that time management is important on how you complete tasks, but David Allen emphasizes that it is not necessarily true, instead how we manage our attention and focus. He presents five steps that achieves this idea: Capture, recognize or bring back the attention; Clarify, understand what it means; Organize, sort the results; Reflect, review the results; and Engage, apply and know where to allocate resources. These steps heavily relates to my major because the projects I work on. They focus on identifying the goal or issue, presenting the solution, and understanding on what we should be focusing on.
