- This interactive workshop was hosted on campus at San Jose State University during the Spring 2026 term. The session was led by a LinkedIn Manager and included a live presentation, interactive profile-building guidance, and networking opportunities with members of the LinkedIn team. The workshop focused on optimizing LinkedIn profiles, leveraging LinkedIn Learning, and using LinkedIn’s AI tools for smarter networking and career development. Students also learned about SJSU-specific LinkedIn initiatives and campus programs that support career readiness.
- I learned how to create and optimize a strong LinkedIn profile that highlights my skills, experiences, and career goals in a professional and strategic way. The workshop introduced practical strategies for networking with recruiters, alumni, and employers using LinkedIn’s AI companion tools. I also gained insight into how to use LinkedIn Learning to develop in-demand skills relevant to today’s job market. Additionally, I learned how to engage with campus LinkedIn initiatives to further strengthen my professional presence.
- This activity directly supports my academic and career development by helping me translate my coursework, projects, and experiences into a compelling professional brand. As I prepare for internships and full-time opportunities, understanding how to effectively present myself online and connect with industry professionals is essential. The skills I gained, profile optimization, digital networking, and continuous learning through LinkedIn Learning, align closely with my goal of building a strong professional network and staying competitive in my chosen career field.
