From the Effective Listening module, I learned how important it is to be fully present, remove distractions, and focus on both the words and emotions behind what someone is saying. The course helped me understand that good listening is an active skill that builds trust, reduces misunderstandings, and strengthens communication. This connects to my major because being able to truly listen makes group work, collaboration, and problem solving much more effective, allowing me to better understand others and contribute more meaningfully in academic and professional settings.
