Writing in Plain Language

In this LinkedIn course, I learned how to write in plain language. The videos stated the importance of writing in plain language as it ensures that the sentences you write are easy to understand and read. In order to have better outcomes, you must write for it and anticipate questions that the readers may ask. To make sure that the readers are comprehending the begin with the main point and include bullet points and tables. Thus, would make things easier to read and understand. When you are writing, you must make sure you are directly addressing your reader, using an active voice, not using abbreviations, and writing in clear sentences. This is an important skill to know for the future because whomever it may concern, would not want to read very lengthy paper, email, etc. that is not formatted so it is easy to read. They may get lost or distracted when reading it, that they may stop reading and move onto the next. If you do not want that to happen, you need to know how important it is to have it as simple and plain as possible.
