Our goal for this project was to build an AI-powered system that helps users cut back on unnecessary water and electricity usage. The solution uses smart meter data, past household consumption, appliance-level usage patterns, and occupancy information to identify where energy and water are being wasted. The AI gives users real-time feedback through a mobile interface, showing exactly which appliances consume the most resources, how much money they can save, and how their usage compares to local and global averages. Our results include features such as cost-saving projections, sustainability badges, long-term impact tracking, and personalized recommendations that help reduce utilities and greenhouse gas emissions. Through this project, we learned how rising utility prices and climate concerns create a strong need for smarter home monitoring, how AI can transform raw meter data into useful insights, and how visualizations and incentives can motivate people to make meaningful changes in their daily resource consumption.
