Cert Prep: Scrum Master (2018)
I learned the core principles and practices behind Scrum and what it means to work as an effective Scrum Master. I gained a clear understanding of the servant-leader role and how a Scrum Master supports the team rather than directing it. I learned who to go to for questions about product vision and how features tie into that vision. The course also helped me understand what makes a strong development team and the value of holding “norming” sessions to build trust and alignment. I reviewed the five key events that make up each sprint and how product backlog items should be refined and managed. I also learned how progress is tracked through tools like burn-up charts and other reports. Overall, this project gave me a solid foundation in Scrum and prepared me for certification, while also helping me understand how these practices improve teamwork, transparency, and delivery.
