Getting Things Done
What I learned:
- Capture information and bring your focus together to concentrate on accomplish the goals by writing it down to get it to memory, and by finding a place that works for you such a calm and peaceful environment
- Clarify by asking questions and coming to a decision on what the tasks mean and are they something you can best of. Two keys question to consider are: What are the next actions? What is the project?
- Organize everything by creating a plan with a schedule and focus on creating priorities by having a checklist to refer to
- Reflect on what everything means
- Engaging in pursuing the task
Relation to my major:
This course is really useful for understanding the importance of time management and in the field of MIS, case studies play a huge role on a regular day of the job so in order to submit them by a deadline, the 5 step process discussed in the course is really important.
