Japan Trip 2024 – Visiting Nippori Fabric Town
I was very fortunate to be able to travel to Japan recently for my first international trip. While I was in Japan, I visited Nippori Fabric Town, which is just north of Tokyo and is famous for having over 90 stores dedicated to fabric and other related crafts in one neighborhood. I am currently teaching myself how to sew, so I gathered as much Japanese fabric as I could carry to bring back to the U.S. and make a quilt to remember the trip by. It’s very important to have hobbies outside of school and work, such as traveling or sewing, because they help you to differentiate yourself from your peers while you’re having fun during free time.
