In the Communications Foundations LinkedIn Learning module, I gained valuable insights into the key principles of effective communication, both in professional and personal settings. The course highlighted the importance of clear, concise messaging, understanding different communication styles, and adapting to diverse audiences. I learned about active listening, non-verbal cues, and the role of empathy in building strong relationships. This knowledge directly relates to my Management Information Systems (MIS) major, as effective communication is crucial in my field for collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and clients. As an MIS student, the ability to present technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical audiences is essential for the success of projects and the smooth functioning of organizations. The course has equipped me with the skills to better articulate complex ideas, an essential skill for my future career as I aim to bridge the gap between technology and business.
