Through the LinkedIn Learning course “AI Pair Programming with GitHub Copilot X” by Ronnie Sheer, I gained insights into how AI can enhance software development by automating repetitive coding tasks and improving efficiency. This course demonstrated how GitHub Copilot X integrates AI with programming, particularly in Python and JavaScript, to assist with tasks such as creating data models, implementing REST APIs, and writing front-end and back-end code.
This knowledge directly connects to my MIS major, as leveraging AI-powered tools like Copilot can optimize software development processes in business environments. Understanding AI-assisted coding helps me bridge the gap between technical development and business applications, enabling more efficient system implementations, automation, and problem-solving within organizations.
